The traditions of the Tuscan “maggiaioli” (peasants who celebrate the arrival of the spring with propitiatory songs) is here recounted in tales and poetry. Performing such old traditions in a stage becomes the way to share them with the public, although the parody is here regareded as “out of place”, as a breech of the natural bound between music and language.
