We call The roof of the world the highest hill above our small farm. It’s a long time since we live there and sometimes we climb into this hill to have look at the world.
On 18th June 1989, twenty-five years ago, Paola and me got married in Anzola dell’Emilia… that was the official beginning of the Ariette, first a simple farm, then a farm guesthose, and now a theatre company. Neither we know nor we can tell what will happen at VolterraTeatro this year.
We shall try to build a place of reflection, of encounter, of joy, something which pretty fairly reminds me of our home and of its atmosphere. There will be extracts from our autobiographies (unevitably), our theatre, our cuisine, yet we also kindly ask you to be present as well with your stories, your dreams and, why not, your cuisine. It’s a silver anniversary, right, but with no feelings of nostalgia for our past.
We live in the present time, and continuously dig in memory of the future.
