Volterrateatro 2009 XXIII edition of FESTIVAL VOLTERRATEATRO organized by Associazione Carte Blanche with the artistic direction of Armando Punzo takes place in Volterra and Pomarance, Castelnuovo V.C., Montecatini V.C. and Monteverdi M.mo from 13rd to 26th July 2007. Festival is promoted by: Comune di Volterra, Regione Toscana, Provincia di Pisa, Comuni di Pomarance, Castelnuovo V.C., Montecatini V.C., Monteverdi M.mo, Comunità Montana Alta Val di Cecina. Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Volterra, always committed in supporting local cultural manifestations and events, will give their fundamental support also for this edition. 
Who can you dedicate your life, your work, your art to, than to whom shares with you, even at some distance, your anxiety, expectations, and dreams? It’s so simple to turn to the ones who felt before the pain of a truth denied to men, and to whom is contemporary to you and tries, with his art, to let people recognise the veil that wrap us up. The World as Will and Representation by Schopenhauer is the work that has lead me in this meeting of theatrical art in Volterra. All our work is dedicated to the “thinking spirits” that will be here to find us, and re-find themselves. Our hope lies in them. |
